A house should be easy to walk into, and that includes its front door on the web. We build the Halwyn storefront to be usable by as many people as possible, and we treat accessibility as craft, not compliance.
What we do
- Semantic, landmark-based HTML so screen readers can navigate the house.
- Visible keyboard focus on every control, and interactions reachable without a mouse.
- Colour contrast checked against WCAG 2.1 AA for body text and interface.
- Alternative text on meaningful imagery; decorative imagery marked as such.
- Motion that respects your
prefers-reduced-motionsetting — the scroll reveals and hero movement stand still when you ask them to. - Form fields with real labels and inline, spoken-friendly error messages.
Where we're still working
Accessibility is never finished. If any part of the house gets in your way — a control you can't reach, an image without a description, a contrast that fails you — we want to know, and we'll fix it.
